Brenton Farm is a family owned and operated cattle farm located in beautiful Fauquier County, Virginia. We are dedicated to growing natural beef in a natural environment. Our specialty is grass-fed Black Angus beef. We feed and finish all our beef on fresh grown perennial natural grasses. We believe in providing our cattle a better quality of life by mimicking nature. We are small enough to intimately care for our land and our animals and that translates into a better quality product for our customers.
Brenton Farm is committed to providing quality Black Angus grass-fed beef. In order to do so, there are certain practices we follow. Our cattle are fed strictly grass and hay that we grow and bale on the farm. We do not inject our cattle with any growth hormones, steroids, or antibiotics. The cattle graze day and night on all natural pastures. We also regularly rotate our cattle to provide them with a clean, fresh environment. Rotating also allows for natural fertilization which is not only better for the cattle, but also good for the environment. Our cattle are raised in a serene, stress free environment. We invite you to visit the farm to see for yourself.
The vast majority of beef eaten in America today is grain fed and finished in feed lots. Grassfed beef is lower in fat and calories and is higher in important vitamins such as beta-carotene and vitamin E. Research has shown that grassfed beef can help to lower cholesterol levels and has 2-6 times more of the good fat called omega-3 fatty acids.
